How it works

The horse's gut flora is composed of hundreds of species of bacteria, yeasts, fungi and protozoa. This flora is extremely sensitive: small changes in management, stress, surgery or environment change can unbalance it and cause chronic digestive problems. GutSecure acts on three fronts:

• Prebiotics (brewer's yeast, fermented Jerusalem artichoke) that feed beneficial bacteria
• Yea-Sacc® probiotic (live yeast) that stabilises the flora and improves nutrient digestibility and absorption
• Varied fibres that stimulate intestinal transit and serve as energy

The combination restores microflora balance, reduces lactic-acid producing bacteria (linked to intestinal acidosis), and creates conditions for healthy and stable digestion.

Balanced energy with controlled sugar and starch

GutSecure provides energy in a balanced way, with controlled sugar and starch from thermally treated grains (high small-intestine digestibility). This means less starch reaches the large intestine, which is fundamental for stable flora. Following feeding recommendations keeps you well below the safety limit of 1 g of sugar/starch per kg body weight per meal.

Recommended daily feeding

250 grams per 100 kg body weight:

• Pony of 300 kg: 0.75 kg per day
• Horse of 600 kg: 1.5 kg per day

How to administer

For acute intestinal problems or diarrhoea, split the daily dose into 3 meals. For long-term use, distribute across at least 2 meals per day. Energy and protein levels are suited to horses and ponies in light work. In severe digestion-related cases, always consult your vet.
