Pavo PodoCare is a specific supplement for the healthy development of hooves in foals and young horses, formulated with biotin, zinc, copper, methionine and other essential nutrients for the formation of quality keratin. Suitable for pregnant and lactating mares (to positively influence the foal's hoof from the uterine phase), and for foals from growth phase up to the first years of life.

How it works

The hoof quality of an adult horse is largely determined in the first years of life. A foal growing with nutritional deficits of biotin, zinc, copper, and sulphur amino acids will tend to have poorer-quality hooves for life. PodoCare provides these nutrients in doses adjusted to the rapid hoof growth in the foal (which grows about 10 mm per month in the first years, faster than in the adult). Given to the mare during pregnancy and lactation, the nutrients reach the foal via placenta and milk, starting the work even before weaning.

Difference vs Pavo BiotinForte

PodoCare is formulated specifically for the growth of the foal and young horse, with a nutrient profile adjusted to that phase. BiotinForte is formulated for the adult horse, to correct hoof problems already established. They are not interchangeable.

How to use

Give daily mixed into the feed of the mare or foal, as applicable. Start in the last third of pregnancy and maintain during lactation. In weaned foals, maintain administration during the first 2 to 3 years. Follow the label instructions.
