The readily digestible starch from the puffed cereal grains provides easily absorbed energy. Along with highly digestible cereals, the 9% oil content provides an energy value of over 14MJ per kg of muesli, delivering slow-release energy and promoting excellent levels of strength and endurance.
The blend of soybean and flaxseed oil offers an essential balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which are an ideal source of energy for heavy and endurance exercise. Research has shown that omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids contribute to a healthy, shiny coat, and omega-3 helps minimize inflammatory reactions. SportsFit also contains high levels of the key antioxidants vitamin E and selenium to help protect against free radical damage during strenuous exercise.
Flaxseed and soy flakes contain high levels of essential amino acids such as lysine, methionine, and threonine, which are essential for building and maintaining muscle tone. Flaxseed fiber promotes intestinal health and is therefore suitable for horses with digestive disorders.
